The Texas College of Emergency Physicians will be holding its Fourth Annual Emergency Medicine/Acute Care Review Course August 13th-15th at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Emergency medicine/urgent care is a very rewarding and challenging practice, however, the broad knowledge base can sometimes be daunting for practitioners practicing in other disciplines or just finishing up formal training as an advanced practice provider. This course was developed for advance practice providers who were not formally trained in EM and want to develop the specialty skill set required for success in the acute care arena. The course is a great primer for 3rd year medical students or APP students who want to hone their EM skill set prior to clinical clerkships.
TCEP and Baylor College of Medicine developed a course to help bridge this knowledge gap, making the transition to EM/acute care more efficient for those in training and practitioners in other fields with interest in emergency medicine.
LOCATION: Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas
CREDIT: Approved for 18.5 hours of AMA Category I CME credit
REGISTRATION FEE: $399; $199 (Medical Students/Residents)
The course is based of the core curriculum in emergency medicine and accredited for 18.5 hours of AMA category I CME credit.
TCEP has developed an excellent faculty of both academic and private practice physicians and advanced practice PA’s/NP’s that will provide the most important "must know pearls" for the EM/acute care clinician. The course includes hands on lab sessions and expert panel question/answer sessions at the end of each days hard hitting topic lectures in EM. All labs will include a didactic component and hands on practice under the supervision of an experienced faculty member. We hope you can join us in Houston for this great professional development opportunity and networking with your colleagues in Texas.
