The Emergency Department at Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall has 17 individual rooms and hosts an annual patient volume of 31,500. It is designated as a Level III trauma center. Emergency Physicians provide 26 hours of clinical coverage daily. Sixteen of these hours are scribe assisted. Advanced providers contribute an additional 12 hours of daily coverage. GSMC-Marshall has a basic compliment of specialists, including cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, urology, orthopedics, and otolarynology. Stroke and STEMI teams facilitate timely care of acutely ill patients. Patients requiring highly specialized care can be easily transferred to GSMC-Longview through our 24 hour transfer hotline.

The hospital has a total of 149 beds and is located 30 minutes east of Longview.

Third year residents from the LSU-Shreveport Emergency Medicine residency program rotate through the Marshall Emergency Department.
