Methodist West Hospital

Expanding the UnityPoint Health - Des Moines services to West Des Moines, Methodist West Hospital has become the "go-to" destination for medical care. 

Methodist West is our newest facility and most recent addition to our group’s coverage.  This 95-bed facility is a Level IV Trauma Center with a 15-bed Emergency Department.  The estimated volume is roughly 13,000 visits per year.

• 13,000 Annual ED Patient Volume
• 15-bed Emergency Department
• 24 Hours of Physician Coverage and 8 Hours of APP Coverage
• 12 hour Physician Shifts

The surgery department contains 14 private, pre-operative rooms, six leading edge operating rooms, a cardiovascular catheterization lab and an endoscopy suite.
