North Hawaii Community Hospital (NHCH) is a non-profit community hospital that serves more than 30,000 residents and visitors in North Hawaii. Built in 1996 with substantial funds from its benefactor, Earl Bakken, the founder of Medtronics,  NHCH considers itself a “boutique” hospital serving the desirable Waimea/Kamuela area.
