Las Vegas, NV - In 1996 a group of emergency medicine physicians in the Las Vegas area founded an private, physician-owned group known as Fremont Emergency Services. Since that time FES has grown to over 80 full-time Physicians within the local HCA and Dignity Health organizations.

The advantage of local physician ownership, as opposed to a national contract group, is that a contract group has a “one-way or no way” approach to serving clients.  Being locally physician-owned, FES can decided what is best for the emergency departments they serve.

Kailua, HA - In 1971, three physicians founded Hawaii Emergency Physicians Associated. Their aim was to improve the quality of emergency medical care in the State of Hawaii. Though the original founders have since retired, the group continues to thrive and evolve.

HEPA physicians founded, and became officers of, the Hawaii Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). The independent group's doctors continue to lead active roles in Hawaii’s Emergency Medical Services, several state legislative committees, and the Hawaii Medical Association.

The group’s stable presence and leadership has positioned HEPA as the preeminent emergency physician group in Hawaii.
