Health information exchange.

If you were just starting your residency now, what would you do differently?
If I was applying to residency now.... I would demand a more healthy and family oriented experience.

How will things change in emergency medicine during the next decade?
More mid levels and less physician interface... eventually medicine will be computer and technician driven. 

Most awkward encounter with a patient.
I was putting an ankle splint on a 400+ man. I had him scoot to the end of the gurney and the whole gurney flipped over on top of him, who was on top of me...

I did a nail trephination through an acrylic nail that caught on fire.
