Robert Collins, MD, Named CMO of Bethesda North Hospital
Cincinnati, OH - Robert H. Collins MD has been named senior vice president of quality and chief medical officer for TriHealth. Dr. Collins has been serving as the interim CMO since Dec. 29, following the departure of Georges Feghali MD, who previously filled the position.According to John Prout, president and CEO of TriHealth, "Dr. Collins brings exceptional clinical acumen to the role and a true passion for collaborating with professionals in all health care disciplines to improve the lives of those we serve. The feedback from faculty, private physicians and staff over the past few months has been overwhelmingly positive about him in this role."
Dr. Collins has held many titles at Bethesda North, including chairman of the Department of Surgery, chairman of the Division of Vascular Surgery and director of the Vascular Laboratory. He was a member of the Hospital Executive Committee, Medical Records Committee and the Patient Care Committee. Dr. Collins also served as the executive medical director and also vice president of Medical Affairs at Bethesda North.
Qualified Emergency Specialists, Inc. currently provides emergency services to five TriHealth hospitals in the Cincinnati area.
QESI was formed in 1984 in response to Cincinnati’s need for better emergency department care. Since that time they have adjusted to the needs of Cincinnati community serving two hospitals and three freestanding emergency departments.
