2015 Advanced Pediatric Emergency Medicine Assembly | Find Your Next Pediatric Career

sick-child-cartoonThe 2015 Advanced Pediatric Emergency Medicine Assembly is quickly approaching.  March 24th through 26th at the Hilton New York Midtown will be the hottest spot in the country to brush up on your pediatric emergency medicine skills or take your dual-boarded training to the next level.

This is the first year that EMrecruits will be in attendance and we are looking forward to being a part of another ACEP event.  Be sure to stop by Booth #405 to discuss available pediatric emergency medicine jobs with Bobby Anson and Lori Carlyle.  You can also register for our Beats by Dre Bluetooth Speaker Giveaway!

When you aren't enjoying the fantastic keynote speakers and other educational opportunities at the 2015 PEM Assembly, take some time to come by our booth and discover our options for your next career as a pediatric emergency medicine physician.

Finding Your Next Pediatric Career at APEMA15 in 5 Easy Steps

1. Get Prepared By Updating Your CV

Employers receive an average of 20 applications for every skilled job they advertise and more often than not, almost half of these candidates are perfectly suitable for the role they've applied for. This is why having an updated CV - or curriculum vitae - is even more important to help you stand out from the crowd.

In order to represent yourself in the best possible way you need to have a CV ready to present that accurately represents your background, including your current position.  Allowing yourself the time to organize this information in an eye-pleasing format will help you stand out among others with a similar background.  Also having it ready at all times will allow you to apply quicker to positions you have interest in.

2. Register for Your Onsite Interview at APEMA15

Why wait until after the conference? In addition to EMrecruits team members, Bobby and Lori, being available to speak with you, we will also have leadership from Commonwealth Emergency Physicians (CEP) in attendance to conduct on-site interviews.  Register today to schedule your time!

3. Visit EMrecruits in the Exhibit Hall - Booth 405

There will be numerous booths to visit, but don't forget Booth 405. We will be one of your greatest resources between our multiple pediatric emergency medicine openings in various locations, client leadership being in our booth to interview you at the conference, and not to mention some great giveaways for you to take home. Four words... Beats by Dre Giveaway!

4. Ask the Right Questions & Make a Lasting Impression

Don't schedule your interview with CEP, but come to our booth knowing nothing about them.  We've made it easy to prepare yourself though...check out their company profile here to learn more about the group, practice, locations, and community.

Plan a few questions that you know you'll want to touch on and also have an idea of why this opportunity would be a great fit for you! Check out this post from our Keys to Successful Physician Interviewing series to get some ideas!

5. Follow Up

It is always a good idea to initiate the communication process after the interview. A significant amount of time from all parties has been invested up to this point and your next interaction will help seal the deal for a facility visit - even a contract - or could potentially knock you out of consideration.  We've offered a few suggestions in this post from our Keys to Successful Physician Interviewing series.
