Emergency Medicine Physician Credentialing | Honesty is the Best Policy 

The credentialing process for Emergency Medicine physicians could be one of the most painful and time sensitive parts of joining a new ED group or hospital.  It varies by hospital and doesn’t include the added process (and time) of obtaining a state license.

Hospitals are trying to avoid being the next breaking news story on Dateline or 60 Minutes due to improper physician credentialing and/or verifications. It is often been said that “you cannot judge a book by its cover” – or in the case of a hospital’s MSO’s “you cannot judge a physician by their CV”.

This translates to what will be a thorough investigation of the information you provide on your Curriculum Vitae.  Hospital credentialing varies by the size and corporate culture in regards to how much supportive documentation is required – just remember that you are being evaluated from the beginning. 

2014 AANP National Conference, Nashville, TN – June 17 - 22, 2014

We were very happy to see a great turnout this year at AAPA Impact.  Bobby Anson and Lori Carlyle, of EMrecruits, returned to the office very excited to have had so many indepth conversations about our current openings for physician assistants within our groups across the country.

AAPA IMPACT 2014, Boston, MA – May 24 - 28, 2014

Next week, approximately 6.000 Physician Assistants and students will arrive in Beantown for the largest PA-focused CME event in the world, AAPA IMPACT!    For those five days, physician assistants will have the opportunity to access 270 plus hours of top quality CME, cutting-edge technology, and network.  They will also have direct access to hundreds of resources to enhance their local practice. There is no better opportunity to network by attending one of the dozens of alumni or constituent organization events, mingle at a fundraising event, and come face-to-face with other PA’s who have a passion for patient care. For the business-savvy providers, the conference also features 30 minute STAT Consult sessions that will provide information regarding current nonclinical issues such as reimbursement, hospital policy, state laws and regulations, and general advocacy topics.

Winner Announced! | TCEP Annual Meeting, Galveston, TX - April 10-13, 2014

The TCEP 2014 Annual Meeting was held on April 10-13, 2014, and saw great attendance from medical students, emergency medicine residents, and practicing emergency medicine physicians from all across the state.

Lori Carlyle and Chase Gallatin, of EMrecruits, were in attendance and enjoyed the opportunity to interact with all the attendees that stopped by the booth.  Since we are based out of Dallas, Texas, it is only appropriate that EMrecruits is partnered with a large number of emergency medicine groups across the state.  We have partners in every major city - Austin, Houston, and Dallas - as well as, markets covering every other region of the state.
