People dream of living on the Hawaiian Islands, but how many people make the leap and actually do it? Hawaii Emergency Physicians Associated (HEPA) is an independent, physician-owned emergency medicine group of over 80 ABEM physicians that have made that leap. They enjoy a great quality of life living in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, while practicing emergency medicine across multiple emergency departments in Hawaii.

We recently reached out to a member of HEPA's physician leadership team to find out why they were originally interested in joining HEPA's team of emergency physicians and why they've stayed with the group for so long.

The largest gathering of emergency medicine physicians is quickly approaching. In just eight short weeks Las Vegas will be the stomping grounds for over 7,000 emergency medicine physicians and residents as the 2016 American College of Emergency Medicine Scientific Assembly kicks off at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Leesburg, VA - Inova Loudoun Hospital today earned Magnet status from the American Nurses' Credentialing Center, the highest institutional honor awarded for nursing excellence.

The center, an affiliate of the American Nurses Association, grants the status to hospitals that satisfy a set of criteria. The process for earning the status is lengthy and measures four years' worth of statistics to come to the determination.

Hospital staffs are told via telephone the day the determination is made and a large group of Inova employees gathered in a conference room today at the Lansdowne campus to hear the news.
